This week I had the pleasure of sharing with my family, friends and the world at large, the great news of the “Long Goodbye” being accepted to the Red Dirt International Film Festival and the nominations it received for best editing, directing, actor, actress, and supporting actress. As one of the film’s producers, I am so excited by this news, and am traveling to Oklahoma for the festival.
For those of you that didn’t know this about me already, I figured I would just state it for the record. Yes, I love movies and I love novels, but to me, comics are the perfect blend of both worlds. From the bold illustrations to the sharp dialogue and captions that let you inside the character's mind. Comics are a pure medium for “what” storytelling.
New York changes every day. In a week, a city block can change and in a year, a neighborhood can become unrecognizable.
So we all have friends who have their fingers on the pulse of one thing or the other: fashion, entertainment, fitness, tech etc.. so much so if you have a question about this topic you rather hit them up directly than google it.
I didn’t start this week with the intention of doing or expecting any of these things but as I reflect on them I can’t help but the feel excited. This is how my week started.
